Return & Refund Policy

By placing an order on our website (https://kate-amsterdam.nl) you confirm that you have read and agree to our Return & Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

We have a 30-day return period, which means you can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Unfortunately, after 30 days we can no longer accept returns.


Conditions for returns

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition as you received it — unworn, unwashed, and in its original packaging, with all tags intact. Proof of purchase is required.

The packaging must not be damaged. Items with signs of use or damage not caused by us will be refused.


Not considered quality defects

  • Loose threads, unfinished edges, fabric thickness or texture, or color differences due to screen settings

  • Returns due to style or color preferences or a change of mind

  • Damage from use, washing, improper maintenance, or self-repairs

  • Sizes that do not fit due to your own choice (please consult our size chart beforehand)


Return instructions

Do you want to return an item? Please contact us first at support@kate-amsterdam.nl to receive return instructions.

Items sent back without prior contact will not be accepted.


Shipping costs for returns

The shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the customer, unless it concerns a defective or incorrectly delivered item.

We recommend always using a track & trace code. Returns without tracking are entirely at your own risk.


Sustainable alternatives

We encourage sustainable return options to reduce unnecessary returns and waste. Please review these options in our return portal before submitting a return.


Sale items

Sale items can be returned within 30 days but will not be refunded to the original payment method. Instead, you will receive a store credit to be used for future purchases.

Store credit:

  • Valid for 12 months from the date of issue

  • Not transferable or exchangeable for cash

  • Can be used in one or more purchases


Cancel order

You can cancel your order within 4 hours of placing it. After this period, the order is processed immediately and cancellation is no longer possible.

For cancellations within this timeframe, please send an email to support@kate-amsterdam.nl.


Refunds

After we receive and inspect your return, you will receive a confirmation by email. Upon approval, the amount will be refunded to your original payment method (for non-sale items) within 3-5 business days. Please allow for additional processing time by your bank or payment provider.

Restocking & Reshipping Fees

If a package is returned to us because it was not picked up, was refused, or had an incorrect address, a restocking and reshipping fee of €11 will be charged.
This fee covers the processing of the returned item and resending it, and must be paid before the package can be sent again.

Refund instead of reshipment

If you prefer to receive a refund instead of a reshipment, a 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.

Items returned due to our error (wrong item or defective product) are not subject to these fees.


Received wrong item or size?

Did you receive the wrong item or the wrong size? Please contact us immediately at support@kate-amsterdam.nl. We will send you the correct item free of charge.
